This year from Monday, January 7th to Thursday January 10th at Kaderu 2.7 Hokkaido Centre and Sapporo Station underground walkway, Sapporo Shinyo High School participated in the 12th annual UNESCO calendar recycle project.

Roughly 50 people from Sapporo Shinyo High School, along with several other volunteers helped to gather, organise and sell calendars which were collected from various donors. This was a task for students that they would not regularly undertake in a school lesson.

Along with these activities, they also had the opportunity to converse with people from all over the region and UNESCO members about various topics such as: their futures and what it means to be in a working profession. It was a meaningful time.

Next year we would also like to participate, so we look forward to you coming next year as well!
