AFS International Students (Asia Kakehashi Project) Returning to their own countries
The 10 international students ( from 8 different countries) who have been studying with Shinyo students since August 26 last year will return home two weeks ahead of schedule on March 8.
(They are leaving New Chitose Airport for Haneda at 12:20).
We are very sorry not to hold the farewell party which was scheduled for March 19, but we are sure that the health and safety of the international students should be the top priority.

During the seven months that the international students stayed at Shinyo High School, they and Shinyo students were able to interact with each other not only through their assigned classes but also through volunteer activities, club activities and international exchange activities.
While staying at Sapporo, Shinyo students have learned about different cultures and customs from Japan through the interacting with foreign students.
During the weekends and winter vacations, some Shinyo students became the host family so that they could live with international students to deepen their friendship.

We believe that this cross-cultural experience has not only become an important memory for the students, but will have a significant impact on their future lives.
The 10 international students who came all the way to study Japanese learned Japanese while struggling every day in this land where the language, culture, food and climate are different.
We would be grateful for international students to have a meaningful and good memory of what they spent at Shinyo High School.
We sincerely hope that international students will use the experience they have gained in Japan to build a bridge between Japan and other countries in the future.
In April, four new international students will study at Shinyo High School.
We aim to promote international exchange so that international students and Shinyo students can learn and grow together.
